Ramp calculator
Ramp length, angle and landings from rise and gradient.
How it is calculated
Horizontal length = rise × gradient (for 1:12, length = rise × 12). Slope length = √(rise² + length²). Angle = arctan(1 ÷ gradient). Landings are added each time the flight reaches the maximum rise or length you set.
Check locally: Accessibility codes set maximum gradients, flight lengths, widths and landing sizes. These differ by country; check the one that applies.
