How to use the Image Compressor

Compress, resize and convert renders and photos to JPG, PNG or WebP in your browser, for portfolios, websites, email and submission portals with file size limits.

  1. Add one or more images.
  2. Choose the output format, quality and maximum size.
  3. Compress, then save each image or download all of them as a ZIP.

Worked example

A 12 MB 6,000-pixel render saved as WebP at quality 80 and 2,560 pixels wide is usually well under 1 MB and still sharp on a large screen.

Good to know

  • WebP is usually the smallest for renders; JPG is the most widely accepted.
  • If an image is already well optimised the original is kept, so you never get a larger file in the same format.
  • Images never leave your device, so client renders stay private.

Questions

Which format is smallest?

WebP is usually the smallest at the same quality. JPG works everywhere. PNG keeps transparency.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser on your own computer. Files are never sent to Aakaar or anywhere else, and they are deleted when you leave the page.
