Aakaar Tools are designed by Aarsh Kandra to remove the small, repetitive problems that slow architectural teams down: cleaning consultant CAD for Revit, and turning SketchUp design models into classified BIM. They grow out of CAD Cleaner & Smart Import, Aarsh’s add-in that cleans drawings and places them straight into Revit, and out of Aakaar’s own BIM work.

Questions

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF Studio runs entirely in your web browser. Files are opened, edited and saved on your own computer; nothing is sent to Aakaar or any other server, and no document information is sent to analytics.

When are files deleted?

Open files and results exist only in this browser tab's memory. They are deleted when you press the bin icon, when you close or leave the page, or after 30 minutes without activity.

Can I resize an A1 drawing to A3 and keep it to scale?

Yes. Sheet size resizing keeps drawings as vectors and tells you the new scale: an A1 sheet at 1:100 printed on A3 becomes exactly 1:200, because ISO sheets halve with each size.

How accurate are measurements?

As accurate as the PDF. Choose the scale the drawing was made at, or calibrate from a dimension you know; PDF Studio warns you when a calibrated scale does not match a standard scale, which usually means the sheet was printed or saved at a different size. Measurements snap to the drawing's own lines.

How does drawing comparison work?

Choose the original and the revised page. The overlay shows lines in both drawings in black, removed lines in red and new lines in blue; the changes view clouds every changed area. Auto-align lines up drawings that moved on the sheet.

Can it unlock a password-protected PDF?

Only when you know the password. Open the file, enter its password, and download it: the copy has no password. PDF Studio can also add AES-256 passwords and printing or copying restrictions.

Does it do OCR, PDF to Word or PDF to DWG?

Not yet. OCR, scan clean-up, PDF to Word and Excel, Office to PDF and vector export to SVG and DXF are planned for the next versions. Converting a PDF back into a real CAD or Revit model is not offered, because no tool can reliably rebuild the original drawing from a PDF.

Is PDF Studio free?

Yes. PDF Studio is free to use. It is designed by Aarsh Kandra at Aakaar.
